EQUALITY JACKSON READS PROCLAMATION FROM SCOTT CONGER AND MORE AT 2ND PRIDE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING
Looks Like the City of Jackson, TN is Behind the LGBTQ+ Community
JACKSON, TN, JULY 19, 2019 – 50+ attended last night at Equality Jackson’s 2nd PRIDE Organizational Meeting at Bakers Brother’s BBQ, where there was excitement, lots of laughter, and even a few tears as the organization announced:
• Fundraising Efforts
• Organizational News
• PRIDE Information
• And their Mission and Programs
Ken Jensen, Vice President of Equality Jackson, started the meeting with lots of laughter, and then turned the crowd on their heads with a game that ended in a few tears.
Everyone has bad weeks, but the LGBT community is constantly the recipient of verbal and physical abuse. All I did with the game was show them how much we love them.

Then, Ken read a bold statement from the Mayor, Scott Conger, showing the community that he, and Jackson, TN is behind the diversity that they bring into the community.
Ken and Genevia Jensen, President of Equality Jackson, then proceeded to work through the list of organizational news and information.
Equality Jackson plans to take this strong community, bring them together, and with Jackson TN behind them, make history.
