EQUALITY JACKSON UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP
Prepare for Huge Changes in this Small-Town LGBT Organization
JACKSON, TN, JUNE 20, 2019 — Watch out Jackson TN! Equality Jackson spokesperson, Ken Jensen, announced Genevia Jensen as the President and Executive Director of Equality Jackson at the organization’s first Pride Festival Organizational Meeting at Baker Bros BBQ.
Equality Jackson had always been a smaller group, with exclusive membership. It was never really publicized in the town. Genevia was invited to join the board last year. She was officially named the President on June 11th at a meeting at Starbucks, but the public announcement wasn’t until the June 20th Meeting.
I am extremely excited for this opportunity to help the LGBT+ Community, but I would be dishonest if I said that I’m not nervous. I want to do a great job for these beautiful people.

And a great job indeed! Since the newest leadership has arrived, Equality Jackson has had a large increase in community connections and involvement.
Although a multitude of things have happened. There is still a long way to go!

Equality Jackson loves and is dedicated to the fair treatment and support of the LGBT+ community of Jackson TN and surrounding areas.
They are also the host of the Jackson Tennessee Pride Festival.
Future Focus of Equality Jackson is to continue to provide events for the LGBT+ community and eventually build a community center.
